The Meaning Of Movies
When I was little, though we didn't exactly live in a rural area, my parents grew vegetables and fruit in the backyard. It was glorious—the fresh potatoes, tomatoes , lettuce and even corn. But the strawberries. When that telltale, deep red would appear and I would pick one and eat it right then and there—the burst of pure deliciousness was like nothing I've tasted since. Sometimes now, when I bite into a strawberry, it reminds me of that moment when the world was still new and the flavor was beyond compare. And the delight of childhood returns.
And that warm, summer day returns.  And Mom and Dad return.
