I was doing alright.
Young, free and feeling like luck's with me—I have a job; yeah, probably working too many hours but fortunate to have a decent job.
Some good friends, some good times.
Love? Well, that obviously was a process you deliberately decided to work on or not.
Not for me, at least not right now, I figured. Maybe later, maybe never. It's sweet going out with different women.
Mind you, always candid—always upfront about being an aspiring perennial bachelor.
Yeah, that's the life—young and free.
I didn't even see her coming.
