The Meaning Of Movies
I've wanted to be a soldier in the Roman Army since I was small. Here I am. My food and clothes      and blankets come out of my pay, leaving me with little money. The work is hard but the food is good and I like and admire most of the men in my contubernium. There are no longer decimations. I am proud to be a Mithras brother, proud to be a soldier. Still, and I have never told anyone this, sometimes after a day of working in the quarry—I find myself thinking of that glorious ascent to heaven in a great chariot, and wishing for the day to come—sooner than later.
