on this planet of carbon-based life on the edge of a Lenticular galaxy.
The inhabitants of the world knew the end was coming.
But then a scientist named Cris, not well-known
but as it turned out certainly their greatest--
stepped forward with a plan.
"We shall build a well at the North Pole that pumps water from alternate dimensions.
The vortex will be interfaced with recessive, supportive but solid frequencies
so as not to interfere with or corrupt other worlds.
We will dig simple macro-patterns for irrigation down over the entire planet
and let Nature do the rest."
The world sat silent for a moment and then laughed. Say what?!
Scientists laughed the hardest.
This was a reality that had advanced to quantum theory
but this proposal was obviously the deluded ramblings of a poor soul gone mad,
until they looked at the blueprint.
They marveled at the complexity of the technology; they marveled at the simplicity.
They started to analyze the math and build small prototypes of the different sections
that would make up The Great Well.
It was all accurate and replicable.
It advanced their technology by at least a century, probably much more.
Several hundred days and nights passed during construction.
On that very special day, the world watched as Cris pushed "ON".
Water flowed and Life was renewed.
Someone asked Cris how he had managed to make real
something so impossibly unreal.
"Well," he replied,
"first thing—I imagined it. Ho ho ho!"
And the Sunmoon shined down.
